Hifiman he4xx vs sennheiser hd 58x. Too bad with Drop you can't try them out.
Hifiman he4xx vs sennheiser hd 58x Jan 4, 2019 · This is my comparison between the Sennheiser HD58X and HiFiMan HE4XX My social media: more. Jul 23, 2020 · I've found all the (open-back) Sennheisers below the magnificent 800 sound similar-ish to me, which is still great. Whether or not you're going to like them in your system is the million dollar question. Feb 22, 2020 · Two other options are the Fidelio X2hr and the Hifiman HE4xx. The HE-400S is also very easy to drive but I recommend that you use a good quality headphone amp for the best possible sound quality. The 4xx have a much wider soundstage, more sub bass and are more fun. Jul 6, 2018 · The Inner Fidelity web site rated the HE-400S very high and prefered them over Sennheiser HD-600 or 650s due to their smooth and forward sound. HD6XX has better vocals since they are more intimate and detailed. For blackmetal and heavy music the latter are slightly better, although none of them are metal music headphones. Nov 17, 2018 · HE4xx is great for psychedelic trance and other rich sound electronic music, where the scene is more defined, benefits from wider soundstage and you could hear "more" than with HD58x. The 58x are better for mids and highs, feel more analytical/accurate and their imaging is fantastic. Too bad with Drop you can't try them out. . I would try the Hifiman, which are planar and for sure going to have a different sound signature. It also has better upper-low impact, especially noticeable with percussion. I use the 58x for competitive gaming and analyzing music. HE4XX sounds bigger, has better sound stage, better sub-bass, better speed in the lows. However, they say that the X2hr is very V-shaped, has too much bass, which bleeds in the mid blurring the vocals, and lacks of imaging even having a good soundstage.
