While the recreated UIs and authentic designs of those emulations will still appeal to many, there’s increasingly little in that vintage synth collection that couldn’t be I don't use Pigments even that often due to specialized emulations like Repro-5, but I would much rather have Pigments than anything else if I had to just go with one. The addition of the Utility Engine takes sound-shaping to a whole new level. The on board effects are also pretty cool in Pigments. For that reason alone, it’s worth a buy. Only competitor is Massive X - which I also love immensely to be honest - but I think even there I'd rather go with Pigments since it's better for cookiecutter stuff. If anything, Pigments is proof that Arturia isn’t just good at reproducing hardware from eras past—they’re a full-on synth-making juggernaut.
